They aren't needed for Small or Medium bindings. Depending on your highback, on small and medium bindings, the button will be higher than the highback. That's OK. \u003cbr\u003eFor Large and XL Bindings, add 1, 2 or 3 spacers to your Push Button height is even or slightly below the top of your highback. Once you've added the correct amount of spacers for your height highback, screw the Push Button down tight onto the spacers until there is no visible thread. With the new Stainless steel button, if you like the raw look with the threads showing, hit it. Hold the T-Nut at the back with your finger and install the Push Button Quick Release L'Hiver in it's place. Unlike the lever you just took off, the\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePush Button Quick Release L'Hiver points back to the heel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePOSITIONING THE QUICK RELEASE STICK GUIDE\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003ePut the stick part as straight up as possible from the heel. Push the stick down as if you were releasing the binding. Position the guide at the point on your highback where the end of the stick is.  Depending on your highback design, for added strength, slide the included zip ties through the holes in the back of the guide and then through a slot or hole in your highback.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRELEASING YOUR BOOT\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eTo activate the release mechanism, push down on the release button.  Do not hold down the release button as you pull your boot out of the binding as it was designed not to release in this scenario. Simply push down, let go, and lift your heel out of your binding in one smooth motion. Pushing the button as you glide into the lift line and then lifting your foot out as you come to a stop is the best feeling ever.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRELEASING TIP\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eStep ON's are designed so that they only let your biding out when your weight is neutral. The release will feel stiff \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003edepending on where your weight is in the binding. If your weight is on\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e your toes, it will be very hard to release, stiff to the point of \"This must be broken, it's not releasing!\" Instead, use the feedback to relaize your weight is on your toes and s\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ehift your weight to neutral or more on your heels in the binding. Now the release will be so \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003esmooth you don't even feel it.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHEIGHT ADJUSTMENT \u0026amp; POSITIONING\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSmall \u0026amp; Medium Size Bindings\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eScrew the button all the way down and you're good to go. No spacers are needed. We built the adjustability to make it fit over 80 different highbacks. The temptation is there to make it as high up as possible. Don't do it. Having it above your highback makes it vulnerable to breakage from accidentally kicking it while skating, someone stepping on it in the lift line, hooking on things as you walk or getting caught\/crushed under the chair when you load. In case you're wondering... we've done all of the above during testing prototypes. If you have small or medium bindings, the button will be above your highback.
