If you ride L or XL bindings, slide 1, 2 or 3 of the Strengthening Spacers over the threads and then crank it down tight when you have it stacked to just below the top of your highback. The Strengthening Spacers turn the stick and button into a solid piece with nowhere for it to flex and break. Having it above your highback makes it vulnerable to breakage from accidentally kicking it while skating, someone stepping on it in the lift line, hooking on things as you walk or getting caught\/crushed under the chair when you load.
